The first part of the year was very slow going and I put everything on hold for some major house renovation.  Now that's all done and I also have a cool new workspace.   I salvaged some douglas fir salvaged from our 1911 house renovation.  It's old growth and absolutely fabulous stuff.   I counted at least 80 rings on this single 2x4.  Smells nice too.  Of course I have used it anywhere I can on this boat.     Fiberglass work on the fin-trunk.  This is where the keel will slide inside.  The fiberglass protects the plywood from abrasions since the keel is metal and will move a bit.   This is unseen once the trunk is assembled.  This is the first time I've done fiberglass, I'm happy with how it turned out. Stringers all cut for the fin Trunk.  This was the stage where I brought the boat to Maine. Fin trunk installed but not epoxied in place Rudder post.  Made it out of that 100 y.o. douglass fir Here's my workspace in Maine. Test fitting the deck in the hull Using Smi
